Passionate About Inspiring Others

Growing up my mom was a home health nurse and I would go to work with her often.  I decided that I wanted to help others as well and went to school for nursing.  However, that came to a screeching halt when I realized that I could not handle blood very well.  I then decided to do the next thing I loved most, accounting.  Accounting? But you are talking about fitness and wellness?  Keep reading below.

For years I went through life thinking I was happy and things were good. Little did I know I was far from happy and far from healthy.  I decided that I was going to take control of my life at the end of 2011 because I was at my heaviest, over 200lbs, New Years Resolution!  I began working out and had lost 30 lbs and participated in the Warrior Dash in June 2012.  I found out the next day that I was pregnant and was so scared to gain all the weight back.  I did the opposite and barely gained 9 lbs during my pregnancy, which is not good.  I was now smaller then I had been in awhile and felt fantastic.

Fast forward and the weight I had lost came back and lost again a couple times.  I was just trying to lose the weight fast and did not stop to think that I needed to change that.  In 2018 I decided to sign up as a Beach Body Coach to help keep myself accountable.  I have been working out consistently the last 3 years and it has paid off.  Last year I finally realized what I could do to help others. I decided I  wanted to help others lose weight and become the best version of themselves.  I workout each day to show my followers that even on the tough days we got to keep pushing through.

I thought that if I lost weight and was smaller that I would be happier but that was not true.  This is why I want to help others learn to love the body they are in.  WE are unique and NO ONE is the same.  Women are so hard on themselves and we are biggest critics.  Instead of negative self talk lets focus on positive self talk. Work on focusing on all your body has done and what it continues to do.  And Remember, You are NOT defined by the number on the Scale.
